A building is generated from this input and a dynamic simulation is performed hour by hour. During the simulation every aspect of the building is taken into account for calculating the use of the energy in terms of gained and emitted values for different properties in the energy balance. <strong>Behind the simulation core </strong>The simulation core of BIM Energy is based on work done by StruSoft in the latest 30 years, and heavily inspired by the desktop product VIP-Energy. The easiest way to understand the concepts of the simulation is to read the manual for VIP-Energy that is a detailed explanation of the expert use of the desktop product, and that uses the same algorithms, similar input and has the same kind of output. <a href="http://www.vipenergy.net/Manual_ENG.htm" target="_blank">Link &gt;&gt;</a> <strong>Managing input in the BIM Energy Platform </strong>The input of the BIM Energy Map consists of a few high-level template concepts. The typology template is a collection of building parts that the building is composed of. To add typologies and building parts a separate web interface of the BIM Energy platform is used.
